The Grid Iron Club is committed to developing well-rounded young men in the West Robeson community. It is our hope to challenge all football student athletes from 8 to 18 years of age to excel in all aspects of life. In addition to developing athletic skills, a strong emphasis is placed on academic performance and community service.
Our mission is to develop in our young men a sense of character, competitiveness and commitment so that they will be successful in the classroom, victorious on the football field, and productive in the community.
Character: Always doing the right thing, regardless of situation
Competitiveness: Never giving up, giving 100%
Commitment: Finishing the task at hand, even at the expense of personal pain or gain.
We intend to support the athletes involved: spiritually, ethically and with financial contributions to their respective school and/or recreation department. A close working relationship between parents, coaching staff, faculty and school administration(s) will help to ensure that we graduate fine young men of whom we can all be proud. We challenge the parents of our athletes to help make football an excellent experience for your sons by getting involved and supporting the program.
